Amsterdam is in Unesco's World Heritage List. The historic Keizersgracht, Herengracht and Prinsengracht were built in the 17th century. It comprises a network of canals with houses and gardens. An example of town planning unique in the world. Museum houses with Rembrandt and Vermeer, the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, the Heineken Brewery and the Museum of Modern Art, are well-known. Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands known for its artistic heritage, canals and narrow houses with legacies of the 17th-century Golden Age. Discover Amsterdam from the water in a regular or candlelight canal cruise, by 'tram', metro and train. But biking for rent is the key to the city character. Find Yellow Bike. But don't go to the famous police office for inspector De Cock (Keizer, Den Koninghe, Prins, Buitendam, etc.) in Detective Baantjer in the Warmoesstraat. See the Olympics 1928 Stadium in Amsterdam-Zuid and the red light district also for the relaxation coffeeshop.
